This habitat survey shows regrowth areas and uncleared areas to be similar in understorey plants but differ in tree diameter. The habitat survey was undertaken by Friends of Lee Point in Sept 2026.
Photos were taken at various sites, refer Fig 1. Heading north, photos 1, 2 are in regrowth areas and 3, 4 are in areas that were not cleared in the early 1960’s.
The area has a good variety of understory plants and contains many of the woodland plants in this post (for BFTR). Some monsoon rainforest plants also appear in the area as a result of the woodland having infrequent fire. The photos were taken after a recent fire (the first in many years).
