BirdLife Top End organised an enjoyable “Farewell Shorebirds” event at Sunset Park, Nightcliff on 5pm Sunday 16 March.
Friends of Lee Point joined Senator David Shoebridge and MLA Kat McNamara on a Wilderness Walk Tuesday morning 18 February 2025. It was a short 45-minute walk, however, we still managed to see 20 species of birds plus other wildlife.

Gayle Laidlaw, the last arrestee from the Apr/May 2024, Lee Point Defence Housing Australia (DHA) land clearing protest, had all her trespassing charges dropped by police on the 11 February 2025.

Land clearing at Lee Point/Binybara again dominated the year.
In early May 2024, Stage 2 and 3 were bulldozed by Defence Housing Australia (DHA) and 19 people were arrested.
An investigation into the illegal bulldozing operation at Lee Point by NT authorities will not lead to charges against DHA despite breaches in the NT Planning Act.
